Love it – Be Here Now. That’s my motto for 2010. I’d rather surf on God’s grace than slouch around under the weight of more resolutions (aka: yet more expectations). I think it’s a major resolution to agree to just to get up some days. Bravo to those who make it to the car.

i’m not a resolution girl either. and i do lists for everything, but i don’t do goals. but this year i one-worded it. RISK. choosing to intentionally risk more in every area of my life this year. it’s bound to be a wild ride!

Proud of you, Annie, for being able to be honest with yourself and with us. I am with you 100% on the no resolutions, because I too can not keep them. I only made one challenge to myself…for my life to not be in the same situation at the end of 2010 as it was at the end of 2009. Here’s to both of us enjoying 2010 and all of the surprises it will bring!

P.S. I hate you for your ability to fold fitted sheets. Maybe not hate, but there is some jealousy for sure!

I am also very impressed that you can fold fitted sheets. I always try, but then quickly give up and sort of wrap them around my arms, then slide my arms out. I know, I’m no Martha Stewart.

I think resolutions are often formed out of vanity. And they are too often disconnected from what’s really going on in our lives, which makes them impossible to follow through with. Unless you are the superhero of discipline. I prefer the reforming of narration that’s in your life, or themes. So, rock on, Annie, and live well.

I do not make (never have and never will) New Year’s resolutions because I’m like you. I know I won’t be disciplined enough to follow through and then I’ll feel horrible. Since I know that will happen I just don’t. Won’t.

Good for you. Live each day like there’s no tomorrow. Can’t wait to watch this year unfold for all the bloggies.
