This is my weekend.

Written by Annie on October 24th, 2008

Hanging with my hometown bfry Katie B.  Working at the Frothy Monkey.  Her on wedding hoopla like registry and gowns.  Me on a manuscript.  Drinking Chai Cider.  Being normal.  It’s glorious.

But….. here’s a better representation of what we’ll be doing all weekend.  Some would say we are “actin’ a fool”.  And to them I would say, “yes and amen”.

What about you?  Big weekend plans?

We’re headed to a pumpkin patch/apple-picking/hayride extravaganza in the mountains, then keeping little Weber #1, Jake’s bio-dad is coming to spend the night, church and all it brings, hosting church people for chicken soup, and then (the best part)hosting a birthday party for two guy friends at a bar called The Thirsty Beaver. Sweet.

We went to Sedona today to wonder at God’s creation. In addition, we saw a lot of the moon. Several butt-crack incidents with one photo-documentation for proof….more later on that. Seriously – saw some of the most beautiful stuff that God ever did. Y’all have fun – keep us in mind, and remember who you are! ps keep up the tough talk with the creepers

    Sleeping in.

Hanging out with 6-year old daughter while husband is with 10-year old at his football game.

Abandoning family for thrift-store shopping and a movie, I HOPE.

Then Sunday, church at Mars Hill, quiet afternoon at home, working at 9 p.m. until midnight.

We are having a pretty quiet weekend finally!
